The Martha’s Vineyard Hebrew center commissioned me to build this Memorial to place plaques for the deceased. It was built from rebar welded together with sheet steel applied to the larger trunks, then brazed with bronze rods in a very time consuming technique. The stainless steel hinge system with triple action was quite a challenge to build. The twelve pages are aluminum sheet with stainless steel corners. The box it was built into was heavy stainless plate. It weighed over 500 lbs.

Complex hinging system allowed the whole bundle to open and each page to fold all the way back to the wall, so plaques can be placed on both sides of each page,
